The grinder mixer scale kit installs in two stages: the hitch weigh bar assembly at the front of the wagon, and the scale spindle supported between the inner and outer frames. Read both sections before cutting or welding anything.
Check fitment first. Every grinder mixer frame is a little different. Dry-fit all parts and confirm alignment before you drill, grind, or weld — it’s far easier to adjust now than after a bracket is welded in place.
1. Hitch weigh bar
The hitch weigh bar assembly mounts to the front of the wagon; once installed the bracket is self-supporting and helps protect the weigh-bar sensor. It can be bolted or welded — pick what suits your frame:

Check fitment: position the assembly on the front frame; adjust the frame (cut, grind, or add spacers) for proper alignment.

Bolted: mark and drill holes to match the bracket; secure with high-strength bolts, lock washers, and nuts; torque to spec.

Welded: mark reference points first, then weld the bracket to the frame.
2. Scale spindle
Mount the scale spindle supported between the inner and outer frames per the kit instructions, keeping the weigh-bar cable protected and routed clear of pinch points.
Final inspection
Confirm all hardware is tight, brackets are rigid and self-supporting, and cables are secured and undamaged before weighing.
