Unlike a Weigh-Tronix or Digi-Star system where you ohm out a connector, the Libra Cart bar talks to the Libra Harvest app over its own device link — so you can diagnose most problems in the app first, no multimeter needed for the first pass.

First principle: if the app sees the device and the numbers look right, the bar is probably fine and the issue is mechanical or calibration. If the app can’t see it or the readings are wrong, the bar or its cable is the suspect.

1. Read the Display tab

With the cart empty and settled, the live weight should sit steady (a few pounds of wander is normal). Watch how it behaves:

  • Steady, settles after loading → the bar is reporting normally. Healthy.

  • Drifts all over / jumps with nothing changing → a bad or intermittent bar, a loose connection, or moisture in the cable/connector.

  • Stuck on 0, won’t move with weight on the cart → a dead bar, a cut signal wire, or the bar is getting no excitation.

  • Huge number (hundreds of thousands) → the device is connected but the bar cable is unplugged or broken open.

2. Check the Devices tab & run diagnostics

Open the Devices tab to confirm the cart device is connected and reporting. Use Test Device / Diagnostics to see whether the bar is alive and what it’s sensing, and Send Diagnostics to email the data to Agrimatics if needed.

3. Calibration check

If the app sees the bar and it responds to load but the weight is off, it’s usually calibration, not a bad bar — recalibrate against a known weight before replacing anything.

4. When to pull the bar

If the app can’t see the device, the reading is stuck or wildly wrong, or it drifts after you’ve ruled out moisture and loose connections, it’s time to inspect/replace the bar or its cable.
